Miguel Ángel Gómez Reali

Sensing Equipment Engineering Lead, National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM)

Miguel Ángel Gómez Reali completed his Master's studies in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Instrumentation for Climate Change at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). His work focused on Ocean-Meteorological Buoys in collaboration with the Institute of Marine Sciences and Limnology (ICMyL) and the Institute of Engineering.

He began his academic career at UNAM in 2008 as a teaching assistant, later becoming a course instructor in the experimental physics laboratories at the Faculty of Engineering. Since 2015, he has worked as an Associate Academic Technician B at ICMyL, developing various instrumentation projects in laboratories, tanks, and buoys, and in particular with the Academic Service for Meteorological and Oceanographic Monitoring (SAMMO). Miguel contributes to the SargaSTREAM project by developing low-cost hydrogen sulfide sensors, including designing, programming, and performing calibration tests on the instruments.
