Julia Hamdan
Medical Student Researcher, Air Quality and Health Impact Analysis.
Julia Hamdan is a medical student at the University of São Paulo's School of Medicine (FMUSP). She is currently involved in a scientific project focused on redesigning and restructuring the maternal and perinatal healthcare network (REMAP) in Brazil. Her research centers on studying prematurity outcomes in São Paulo to support the development of public health policies in this field.
As part of the Sargastream project, under Mariana Matera Veras's guidance at the Laboratory of Environmental Pathology, she contributes to the Health Workstream. In this role, she leverages her medical education to evaluate the health impacts of sargassum decomposition on affected populations.
